The Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará (PGEQ/UFC) is accepting applications for its Master’s and Doctoral programs, with admission in the 2027.1 academic semester.
A total of 16 positions are available: 10 for the Master’s program and 6 for the Doctoral program. The selection processes include positions for general competition and affirmative action, in accordance with the criteria and allocation specified in each call for applications.
Master’s Program in Chemical Engineering
- Positions available: 10
- Area of concentration: Chemical and Biochemical Processes.
- Research areas: Process Analysis and Development; Biomaterials Development; Reaction Systems; Separation Systems; and Applied Thermodynamics.
- Selection process: evaluation of academic transcripts and curriculum vitae.
Applicants with undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering or related fields may apply, subject to the requirements specified in the call for applications.
Doctoral Program in Chemical Engineering
- Positions available: 6
- Area of concentration: Chemical and Biochemical Processes.
- Research areas: Process Analysis and Development; Biomaterials Development; Reaction Systems; Separation Systems; and Applied Thermodynamics.
- Selection process: evaluation of the research proposal, academic transcripts, and curriculum vitae.
Research proposals must be no longer than eight pages and must be linked to one of the projects listed in the call for applications. Research topics include molecular simulation, separation processes, biomass, bioprocesses, porous materials, catalysts, and technologies for CO₂ capture and separation.
